Hectic Live

In my last post I alluded to life being a bit over whelming for me lately.  Let me explain why.

The 20th my dad texted me to come home, he needed me for something. When I got there, he said he was having some chest pains and wanted to go to the ER. He kept saying he thought it was heartburn, but the 'numbers', if you will, didn't add up.

Why? He described his left hand as feeling kinda numb and things like that. In the ER, they said that if he left, he would be doing so against doctors orders. Late the next day, he was moved to another hospital. Around the 24th, he was finally informed that he'd had a heart attack. It was bad enough that he'd have to stay in, but not so bad that he'd get emergency surgery.

On the 27th, he had triple bypass surgery.

Needless to say, I was a bundle of nerves during that whole time. Not to say I fell apart. Far from it. I managed to held up as best I could, when you consider that I was facing a possibility of losing my second parent, in less than five years.

June 1st, he came home. He's been weak and tires easily, but that's nothing new. They did cut him open in several places, stop his heart and stick tubes into him everywhere.

There have also been some money issues, and the WiFi at home is currently down. Being a WiFi addict, this is not good. I require daily does of it to survive. Thank god for Library's and Starbucks.

Anywho, that's where I'm at right now. Money is tight, but we're taking care of what we need over what we want. I try and get out of the house for a few hours every day, so I don't kill one of us. Even before the wifi went down.

We're surviving and doing the best we can right now. People out there have it worse than we do, and some have it better. For now, just doing what we can.

Busy Week of Work

My boss is gonna work me hard this week.

Jerk.

^^

Anywho, today I'm picking up the new photos on models from my last two shoots. Then I'll be cleaning up at home, and updating listings.

Then Tuesday and Wednesday, I'm gonna be taking photos of all the pieces I need to get photos of. I plan on including my latests pieces, rings... And belts.

Thursday is an early day... I'll be taking my dad to work, then picking my brother up from the air port. :P have to be up way to early that day.

Friday has a hair appt and gaming.  No clue what we're doing this Saturday, but I'm hoping we can visit my BFF and Nephew, since I'm the only family member to have seen Theo.

All in all, it should be a nice week, if busy. I need to finish editing Gwen Edur's story, which I'm gonna try and do this week... Along with everything else.

See, my boss is a jerk.

What Dreams May Come....

We all have dreams in our lives.  A few weeks ago I talked about my childhood dream of owning a bookstore, and how it changed into owning my own business and being an author.  So today, I'm going to talk about a few of my current dreams.  The big, and the small.

I'd love to have my jewelry business stable enough to support me.
I'd like to move out of my fathers house [I'm 32, but he's supporting me and I don't think he's upset.  I made mistakes in the past and am working on a tough road out.]

I'd love to have a simple place to live and work.
I'd love to lose some weight.
I'd really love to be in less pain.

I'd love to have one of my stories turned into a comic book or a graphic novel.
I'd also love to have one turned into a mini-series or a movie, but those are farther down the road.
I'd dream of having my jewelry walk the red carpet at a movie premier or an awards show.
I want my jewelry to be in a movie.  I want there to be a line at the end of the credits saying 'Jewelry provided by Vintage Fusion Jewels'.

And, I want to grow old with my friends and watch their kids grow up.  I want to be their aunt who buys them books and teaches them how to play black jack.  I want to be the person they run away from home too.

I don't think any one of these is more or less important than another, except that last one.  That's the one I don't think I could live without.

What are your dreams? Leave them in the comments, I truly want to know.

Baby shower Funs

So, yesterday was my best friend of 20 year's baby shower.

She let me theme it with Mustaches.  :D

And then, her hubbies BFF did the BBQ.  We had a few games, two of which kinda bombed [one because we didn't understand how to work it, and the other because like a dork, I had my father print out the bingo cards, only to not realize they were the same freaking card.]

We talked, we ate, we played the games, we talked more, I was kidnapped by her 'boarder' to listen to music... Then after all the guests had left [I'm like family, I'm not a guest] we watched the muppet movie, Muppets Most Wanted.

All in all, it was a great day.  I personally enjoyed several chats with the other guests, and the whole 'What I Wish For The Baby' thing.

You get a piece of paper with a list of things on it.  Each one is a different 'I wish....' and then you put what you wish for him.  Like, I wished that he grows up to be someone he respects.  And I wish he gets a million books.

I had fun and I wish pretty much everything that got written down on the papers to my nephew.
